A Writing Tool

Walking and listening to music have been show to boost creativity - and you can do them both at the same time! Anchor by Rob Scallon is great music to listen to when you need to work out a story problem. I do it while walking.

A Tip for Balance

So much of writing is you inside your own mind. Balance this with online or in person friendships with other writers. Attend local writers groups or conferences (MeetUp often lists writing groups). Online (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram), you can find groups based on genre, diversity, and being parents among other topics. I especially love the Women's Fiction Writers Association for their online presence and annual retreats.
